GENESIS

PM SHRI KV No.3,Colaba Mumbai was Established in the year 1980 as a Defence sector Vidyalaya sponsored by Indian Navy, Mumbai. This institution is one among the 1256 Kendriya Vidyalayas in India and abroad, under the patronage and administration of KENDRIYA VIDYALAYA SANGTHAN, New Delhi. It is an autonomous body under the Ministry of Education, Government of India.

As we celebrate the glorious Diamond Jubilee of our prestigious organization, it fills us with immense joy, enthusiasm, and pride to reflect upon the remarkable journey we have undertaken together. This day serves as a poignant reminder of the pivotal role this esteemed organization plays in fostering national unity, humanity, and prosperity through the power of education. Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan is committed to nurturing the holistic development of students, ensuring a uniform curriculum and educational standards across all its schools throughout India. The 69 Kendriya Vidyalayas in the Mumbai Region uphold this commitment by placing a strong emphasis on imparting life skills and fostering harmony through child-centric learning activities. At KVS, our motto is: “Hiranmayen Patren Satyasyapihitam Mukham Tat Tvam Pushannapavrunu Satyadharmay Drishtaye.” Pupils must therefore acquire the knowledge and perspective necessary to overcome the allure of falsity and embrace Satyam Shivam Sundaram through the transformative power of education. As education continually evolves, KVS remains committed to adapting to change. All Kendriya Vidyalayas are currently implementing the New Education Policy-2020, a policy for the revitalization of India in the global context. It aligns with the needs of the times, society, and national culture. In addition to academic pursuits, activities such as sports, music, art, and dance are integral parts of Kendriya Vidyalayas’ curriculum. Utilizing our resources and the dedication of our teachers and staff, students are offered numerous platforms to shape their futures. As a group, we work hard to achieve excellence and inspire every child to bring out their hidden potential. In the era of globalization, we are committed to developing the best values in students. Our aim is to encourage the desire to learn, empower the child to speak fluently, and write proficiently. The cognitive upliftment of students, fostering interest in sports and other activities, nurturing a sense of respect for humanity, and developing a spirit of friendship and cooperation with others are our priorities. After taking charge of the school, I am proud to say that the institution has excelled in various fields of learning. I am confident that as a group, we will soon achieve our set goals.
